KEEP YOUR VILLAGE HALL OPEN

Since 1961, Taff’s Well Village Hall has been at the heart of the local community. For decades the people of Taffs Well have been using the hall, from the young to the old and everyone in between. The hall has seen kids clubs, dance classes, martial arts, yoga classes, shows have been staged, parties have been hosted; it has been at the heart of our village. It’s a crucial community community resource but it will only survive if it can raise the money it needs.

It nearly closed at the end of 2018, and it’s clear that in the modern climate it’s going to need help to stay open. It’s just one bad cheque away from turning into a block of flats, like so many other local village halls have closed in recent years.

Can you help it stay open? If so, please step forward! There are many ways to help and the support and use of the local people is the only way we can keep our hall alive. After all, if we don’t save it, who will?

The Village Hall is a registered charity, and run entirely by volunteers.

FUNDRAISING

Could you help with important repairs that will help the hall stay open? The roof needs some attention, and there’s on-going maintenance that needs work, and that can be expensive. If you have something to spare, would you be able to make a donation to help it stay open?

DONATIONS

Do you have something spare that might be useful to the hall? Spare toys, tools, chairs, tables? Please do get in touch: it could be really helpful!

VOLUNTEERING

Do you have key skills that might be really useful to the village hall? Builders, fundraisers, decorators, accountants, plumbers, anything you think might be helpful in keeping our hall open. If you don’t mind lending a hand, please do let us know!
